Jo Holt is a British contemporary artist specialising in art installation.
She investigates themes around otherworldliness & the ethereal. Touching on the subjects of life, death, timelessness, weightlessness & the unseen.
She works with a vast variety of materials from ceramics & glass, bronze & cold cast bronze to textiles & light. To her each material has a voice of its own, she applies that voice to further add depth & feeling to her work.
Alongside her material explorations are explorations of the use of space & ways to display work in space. Deciding shape, form, scale, positioning of each installation piece in space with the viewer in mind to create captivating experiences.
Her artworks have been exhibited at numerous galleries, sculpture trails & events including: Blue Dot Generation - Transforming the Relationship Between Human & Ocean, London, Windsor Great Park, Surrey & Mall Galleries, London.
In 2019 she won the Surrey Sculpture Society Emerging Sculptor of the Year Award.
